Warm Digestive Broth

Prepare a rich, nutrient-dense veggie or umami bone broth that’s combined with the digestive support of Fennel. This recipe is particularly helpful during the holidays, and it’s easy to make your own broth in a crockpot or Instant Pot with just water and leftover veggie or herb scraps.*

Ingredients

Serves 1

1 cup bone or vegetable broth, store-bought or homemade

0.7 ml Herb Pharm Fennel liquid herbal extract

Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pour the broth into a saucepan and warm it over low to medium heat.
  2. Remove it from the heat when warm. Do not let it boil.
  3. Pour the warm broth into a mug and add 1 serving of Fennel extract.
  4. Sip and enjoy!

Tip:

  • To make your own homemade broth, start by filling a container with veggie and herb scraps as you cook throughout the week. Keep it in the freezer until you’re ready to make the broth. For veggie broth, add a 1-inch piece of Kombu seaweed for some umami flavor and extra nutrients.1 If using bones, add 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar to the cooking pot to help extract the nutrients from them.

One squeeze of the dropper equals 0.7 ml; provides approximately 1 serving of Herb Pharm liquid herbal extract.
