Ingredients
Serves 2
1.5 cups whole, Oat or Coconut milk
1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk, Coconut or Oat versions
1 tsp Vanilla extract
½ tsp Cinnamon, powdered
¼ tsp Nutmeg, powdered, plus extra for garnish
½ tbsp Arrowroot powder
0.7 ml Herb Pharm Kava liquid herbal extract per glass†
Optional: Whipped cream or whipped topping
Instructions
- Add milk, condensed milk, Vanilla, Cinnamon and Nutmeg to a blender and mix until combined (if you don't have a blender, whisk the ingredients together in a bowl instead).
- Transfer the liquid to a saucepan and heat on medium-high until just before boiling.
- Reduce heat to low, add Arrowroot powder and whisk until the mixture slightly thickens, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let sit until cool.
- Pour into two small glasses and chill for 1 to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Add 1 serving of Kava extract to each glass and stir.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of Nutmeg.
- Sip and enjoy!
Pro Tips:
- If making the recipe dairy-free, use boxed Oat milk from the grocery shelves or canned Coconut Milk, as these are thicker than the ones found in the refrigerated section.
- To make this mocktail a decadent treat, add a dollop of whipped cream (before sprinkling on the Nutmeg and after stirring in the Kava).
